Smoked Mullet Spread

  • 3 cups smoked mullet fillet, skin and bones removed
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages of Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 small sweet onion, minced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce (more if you like it hotter)
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 Tablespoons parsley, chopped

Combine the cream cheese, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, hot sauce, and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Shred the fish using your fingers and add to the bowl. Mix well using a fork. Add black pepper to taste and chopped parsley. Cover and chill for at least one hour and serve with crackers.
