Candied Bacon


Ingredients
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper for easy clean up.

1. Mix brown sugar, cayenne, and black pepper together in a bowl. Put sugar mixture into a gallon zip lock bag. Add bacon and coat with sugar.

2. Lay the bacon on the parchment paper lined pan. Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture onto bacon.

3. Put the baking sheet on the top rack of the oven and bake until crisp, about 15 minutes (watching closely). Remove from the oven to a serving dish and let cool slightly before serving.
